Mr. Chew:
My name is Sue Collins, my father was Herman E. Land of the USS Hopewell. My father died on my birthday in 1998. I have continued to receive all of your mail documentation because I think that was a time in my father's life that he respected and thought highly and often about. I will gladly send you postage money to continue receiving the USS Hopewell info. I would also like to know where I can go to get more information on the ship. I didn't know my father very well due to my parents divorce when I was small but, I would sure appreciate any info you could give me or put me in the direction of.

Ed. Thank you for responding to my e-mail. I was not on the Hopewell, but am trying to find a friend that was. His name is Ronald A. Lehman. He was A QM3, maybe QM2 when he left. He was there 1961-1962. Any help appreciated. Ralph Underwood. SM1 Ret.

My father-in-law (James Pershall) served on the Hopewell in ’52-’53. He has gotten information from you about the reunion next year and he is looking to contact a shipmate.
If you have either an email or snail mail address for TM George Henry Sharp who served on the Hopewell during the same time, James would like to have that information. If you do not want to provide this information, you can pass this email address on to George, or send the address below to him in the hope that he will contact us.
Thanks,
Phil Ralston (Ralston, Phillip W [mailto:Phillip.Ralston@CooperIndustries.com] )
